I asked the artist if he minded my sharing this awesomesauce DINO IN A ROCKET on my blog. His reply was something like, “Auntie, please, I made that shit for you for your birthday because my mom said I had to. Now there’s a creek over there and I’m like three years old. I’m going to get MUDDY.”
I took all that as a yes. Yes, I was clear to share the awesome artwork.
How many of you get such awesome presents?
I think it’s so funny that your parents are forever bugging you to ‘draw a nice picture’ for someone’s birthday and your whole childhood you go like ‘but MUM that is the crappiest present ever, you KNOW a good present has to cost money’. And now as an adult I’d be OVERJOYED if someone took the time to actually create a birthday present rather than just buying something trite!!
Also, no I don’t get awesome presents like that =( Can your nephew draw me something please? It’s almost my birthday after all (April).
Well, I’ll ask him, but like most artists he’s a bit temperamental.
