things I carry with me, always

I was cleaning out my bags the other day, as is my wont to do every day because I cannot abide even virtual clutter, and I had to smirk at the things that have been perpetually in my first two bag slots since… Vanilla. The first is my hearthstone and the second is another stone:

Clearly, a hunter trinket

The only other things I’ve held onto that long are my hearthstone and the first gold I ever made (hey, I figure if I’ve never since been down below 1g that’s a legitimate statement).

What have you held onto the longest?

things I carry with me, always — 4 Comments

  1. There are four things. Well, there’s WAY more than four, but these are the four important ones: 1) Lovely Black Dress, 2) Bouquet of Red Roses, 3) Romantic Picnic Basket, and 4)… Broken Chastity Belt.

    What can I say? I’m a romantic.

  2. I still have a Stumpy Foot that someone who is now my girlfriend gave me, a couple of weeks after Wrath came out (I started playing during the pre-Wrath zombie invasion).

  3. I have a deep, abiding love of Archmage Vargoth’s Staff, and in most guild kill shots, you will see him standing around with the group, waiting for a /wave.

On my priest I also keep the chef’s hat handy, not for its utility, but because, once again, kill shots.

In my original guild, one of our Pallis always has Don Carlos’ Famous Hat on for the kill shots. After all, he is Spartacus.

  4. It’s not always in my bags, but the Citadel Enforcer’s Claymore — my first “significant” loot drop from raiding — will live on in my bank, and possibly in a future T10 revival if Ano-the-character ever gets tired of the “evangelical chippendale” look he’s been wearing since transmog was introduced.

I also have a couple of cakes and cookies, given as gifts by guildies, which I just can’t bring myself to eat.

PS: belated welcome back. I’ve not been keeping up with my feeds at all, so hadn’t noticed your return!
